This website (BIRBZ, located at https://bir.bz), and its owner, take your privacy seriously, and I want to be upfront about how I do — and don’t — handle your personal information. You may also want to review the Terms and Conditions of using this site.

What Information Is Collected

Personal information is any and all data that can be linked to you, specifically, as a person (makes sense, right?). Well, personal is personal.

As such, BIRBZ only asks for the minimum necessary personal information when you make a purchase, such as payment info, as well as name and email if you choose to share those. You can also choose to keep your purchase anonymous and not share any personal information beyond your country of residence (necessary for tax purposes). I never collect your payment information directly on this site. It’s always processed securely through Stripe.

Analytics

BIRBZ uses Fathom Analytics, which is a completely privacy-respecting, anonymized analytics provider, to track the overall usage of our website. Fathom does not use cookies, and no personal information is tracked or shared with any third parties.

Cookies

If you start to purchase a birb on this site and get distracted by a loud noise, decide to go for a walk, or get caught up in a bout of dancing mania, you’ll earn a cookie that will remember what you were about to purchase. No other cookies are used on the site, especially not the ones that are used to track and identify you across the internet. That shit is like the oatmeal raisin of internet cookies, get ’em outta here.

How Your Information is Used

Your personal information is used only to facilitate your purchase, or to communicate with you (whether for support or as part of future newsletter-type emails, if you opt for that). I never share your personal information with anyone at any point, unless required by law (and even then…).

Security

This site uses industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from hackers, foreign adversaries, and peepin’ Toms. I’m onto you, Thomas. Don’t even think about it.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information. It’s your info, after all. You can also opt-out of marketing-type emails by using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by reaching out directly.
